Thirty three firefighters from 16 volunteer Rockland fire departments completed their training and graduated in a ceremony at the Rockland Fire Training Center on Thursday, June 29. Keynote speaker, Hillcrest Firefighter, RC Fire Instructor and FDNY Battalion Chief Jeff Facinelli inspired the new firefighters with his address. NYS Office of Fire Prevention and Control Fire Protection Specialist Marilyn Schrader was in attendance for the ceremony along with Rockland County Fire Coordinator Gordon Wren, Jr. and County Executive Ed Day. Three of the firefighters that graduated, Robert J. Condon, Uzi Kamensky and Eli Ribowsky, are members of the 100 percent volunteer Monsey Fire Department Brewer Fire Engine Co. No.1.
