Nyack, N.Y. May 9, 2017 – On Thursday, June 1, 2017, from 6:30 – 8:00 pm, Nyack Hospital will host a meeting for Facing Our Risk of Cancer Empowered (FORCE), a support group for those with hereditary breast and ovarian cancer.
There is no charge to attend, but registration is requested by emailing janetg@facingourrisk.
org. The group will meet in the McCormack Conference Room, first floor of the Union State Bank Cancer Center at the hospital.
FORCE is the only national nonprofit organization devoted to hereditary breast and ovarian cancer. Their mission includes support, education, advocacy, awareness, and research specific to hereditary breast and ovarian cancer. Local support groups offer individuals who have tested positive for BRCA or other genes associated with increased cancer risk or with a family history of cancer, an opportunity to network and share with others.
