9/11 Memorial Garden – Academic Quad
RCC’s Memorial Garden includes a sculpture (Spirit Rising) by Eric David Laxman, made with steel pulled from the ashes of the site of the World Trade Center. The Garden also includes benches and a beautiful inscription of Masterson’s 9/11 poem, “Out of the Blue,” which he will read at the event. Young saplings nurtured from the famed 9/11 Survivor Tree are nearby.

Many people have dedicated inscribed brick pavers for the Walkway to Success that surrounds the memorial. Donations and design of your three-line inscription can be arranged through the RCC Foundation, please call 845-574-4576.
